Knitting in Circles

I went to a knitting Meetup last night. This is the third or fourth time I’ve gone with this particular group, and it gets more fun each time. The evenings just fly by.

We met at a local coffee house, which is our regular spot. Normally, everyone just sort of works on projects and chats. Last night was an impromptu tutoring session. The group leader’s coworker brought her granddaughter, who is learning to crochet. The granddaughter periodically checked with T to make sure she was turning her rows correctly. Another knitter was teaching someone how to use DPNs. The lady next to me asked for help (not from me- thank goodness! I haven’t the slightest idea!) counting rows after using a long tail cast-on. It was lovely.

I opted for my usual latte, but with a holiday shot of vanilla bean Torani. Caffeinated knitting, with a nice group of friends, just can’t be beat.
